Danzi Athletic Center

Facility Rules

When using the Danzi Center facilities, the following social distancing and hygiene protocols must be followed at all times:

- STAY HOME IF YOU ARE FEELING SICK
- PROPERLY DISCARD OF PPE
- FOLLOW HAND HYGIENE, CLEANING, AND DISINFECTION GUIDELINES
- WIPE DOWN EQUIPMENT WITH DISINFECTANT BEFORE AND AFTER USE
- REPORT SYMPTOMS OF OR EXPOSURE TO COVID-19

*LOCKER ROOMS ARE OPEN*

*OUTSIDE FOOTWEAR IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE GYM. PATRONS MUST CHANGE SHOES BEFORE ENTERING THE GYM*

Saturday: 8am-3pm

The John A. Danzi Athletic Center opened in April 1997 and has provided St. Joseph’s University, NY students, faculty, and staff with many opportunities to enjoy athletic competitions, promote personal fitness and engage in recreational activities. To use the 48,250-square-foot Danzi Center, you must have a valid SJNY identification card.

The facility contains a number of outstanding features, such as:

  • a 25-yard heated swimming pool

  • strength training room

  • aerobics/dance room

  • basketball courts

  • volleyball courts

  • elevated track (1/12 mile)

  • state-of-the-art fitness room with 18 selectorized Cybex machines

  • pickleball courts

Our cardiovascular equipment includes treadmills, recumbent and upright bikes, ellipticals, rowers, and Upper Body Ergometer (UBE) machines.

All St. Joseph’s University, NY, community membersare encouraged to use the facility for free.
