Baseball Heads To The 2016 NCAA Mideast Regional Tournament

Washington, Pa. |  The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) baseball team has been tabbed as the #7 seed in the 2016 NCAA Mideast Regional Tournament hosted by Washington and Jefferson University at Ross Memorial Park.

The Golden Eagles will take on the #2 Randolph-Macon on May 18 at 7:45 PM in their first-round matchup.

SJC won the Skyline Tournament for the first time under head coach Rick Garrett and for the third time in program history on May 10 with a 9-8 win over Farmingdale State College.

St. Joseph's historic year comes after a 24-11 (11-5 Skyline) year finishing fourth in the conference. 

Randolph-Macon is making its fifth trip to the NCAA Tournament after posting a 32-6-1 mark, setting a program record for wins in a season. The Yellow Jackets won the ODAC Tournament which earned them an automatic bid into the tournament.

First-round matchups for the championship site will be as follows:
Pool A: South vs. New York and West vs. Midwest
Pool B: Mid-Atlantic vs. New England and Central vs. Mideast
