McMahon Collects Second Skyline Rookie of the Week Honor

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners was Kerri McMahon of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team who was named Rookie of the Week. Additionally, Erin Kelly of the women's volleyball team received Weekly Honor Roll recognition.

Kerri McMahon (Fr.) – Women's Tennis Player of the Week

A former Skyline Player of the Week, McMahon claims her second Rookie of the Week honor this season after picking up victories at both #2 doubles and #3 singles in a win over St. Joseph's (Brkln) last week.The Patchogue, NY native's 8-0 doubles victory came partnered with fellow freshman Emily Portal and improved the duo's season record to 10-2 on the year. McMahon concluded the regular season unbeaten in Skyline singles play with a 7-0 record.

Erin Kelly (Sr.) – Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

A Skyline weekly honoree for the first time in her career, Erin Kelly collected a season-best 12 kills in a 3-1 win over St. Joseph's (Brkln) on Saturday. Later that afternoon, the outside hitter served up a career-best nine aces in addition to registering eight kills in a 3-0 sweep of Purchase. In total, the Ridge, NY native compiled 22 kills, 14 aces and 14 digs as SJC posted a 3-0 record and moved to 11-13 (6-3 Skyline) on the year.
