Iavarone and Moore Appear on Skyline Weekly Honor Roll

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners were junior Andrea Iavarone of the women's basketball team and junior Isaiah Moore of the men's basketball team who both appeared on Weekly Honor Rolls for their respective sports.

Andrea Iavarone (Jr.) – Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

In three games last week, Iavarone averaged 13.7 points and 11.3 rebounds-per-game as the Golden Eagles posted a 0-3 record. Last Monday, the Miller Place, NY native shot 50% from the field and finished with 12 points and 17 rebounds in a loss to Staten Island at home. In Wednesday's 64-59 road loss to Centenary, the forward scored a game-high 27 points on 12-for-20 shooting and collected 13 rebounds for her 10th double-double of the season. Iavaorne is currently seventh in the nation in double-doubles, sixth in offensive rebounds-per-game (6.0), ninth in rebounds-per-game (12.9) and leads the conference in scoring (20.4).

Isaiah Moore (Jr.) – Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

Despite the men's basketball team posting a 0-2 record last week, Moore averaged 18.5 points and 5.5 rebounds-per-game across both matches. In a tight 73-71 loss to Farmingdale on Wednesday, the North Babylon, NY native collected 12 points and seven rebounds, and in a 73-70 loss away at Purchase on Saturday Moore went for a career-high 25 points (9-14 FG, 5-7 3FG). Before action on Tuesday evening Moore was third on the team in scoring (14.0 PPG) and second in rebounds (4.5 RPG).
