Britt Collects Skyline Player of the Week Honors

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners were two St. Joseph's College (L.I.) Golden Eagles, including sophomore Paul Britt, who was selected as the Baseball Player of the Week and Nicole Stoppelli, who appeared on the Weekly Honor Roll for women's lacrosse.

Paul Britt (So.) – Baseball Player of the Week

The SUNY Cortland transfer went 7-for-11 for a .636 batting average as the Golden Eagles went 2-2 in Ft. Myers, FL last weekend. The sophomore utility player went 3-for-4, drove in a run and scored two to lift the Golden Eagles to a 9-7 victory over Western Connecticut State last Saturday. On Sunday's walk-off 10-9 victory over St. Lawrence the Commack, NY native went 4-for-5 driving in two runs and scored the game's final run for the walk-off victory. He currently leads the team in hits (9), batting avg. (.409) and RBIs (5).

Nicole Stoppelli (So.) - Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

Nicole Stoppelli collected five goals on seven shots carrying the Golden Eagles to a 13-10 victory over Worcester St. on Sunday afternoon. Down 4-2 midway thru the first half, Stoppelli fired back-to-back goals and assisted on one to give the Golden Eagles their second lead of the contest.  She finished the day with five groundballs and assisted in two goals. Stoppelli is first on the team in assists (5) and second on the team in points (12) and goals (7).
