New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners were sophomore Alana Caporale (women's tennis) and freshman Meagan Haviland (women's cross country) who were named Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, in their sports.

Additionally, seniors James Dachille (men's cross country) and Erin MacDonell (women's cross country), and sophomore Rayneri Ruiz (men's soccer) appeared on Weekly Honor Rolls.

Alana Caporale (So.) – Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Caporale—Player of the Week for the first time in her career—had her hand in two of SJC's five points in a 5-4 home win over Brooklyn College on Sunday afternoon. Caporale and her #2 doubles partner Lindsey Charrier stormed to a convincing 8-0 victory and ensured the Golden Eagles took a 2-1 lead into the singles competition, where the Mount Sinai, NY native earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at third singles.

Meagan Haviland (Fr.) – Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week

Haviland, now a five-time Skyline Rookie of the Week, placed ninth in a field of 167 runners at the SJC Invitational on Saturday afternoon. With a 20:55.7 time in the 5k race, Haviland was the highest-placing freshman runner among Skyline Conference competitors and the second-highest placing freshman overall.

Erin MacDonell (Sr.) – Women's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll

After earning five Skyline Conference Runner of the Week honors this season, MacDonell appears on the Women's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll following her third-place finish at the 18th Annual St. Joseph's College Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Sayville, NY native's 20:21.3 5k time was bested in the conference only by Farmingdale's Erin Lettieri, who finished first. SJC placed third out of 18 competing teams.

James Dachille (Sr.) – Men's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll

A first-time Honor Roll recipient, Dachille was the highest-placing Skyline Conference runner at the SJC Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park on Saturday afternoon. Finishing in ninth place, Dachille's 8k time of 28:25.3 was also the best time among all NCAA Division III runners.

Rayneri Ruiz (So.) – Men's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll

Ruiz Bagged a pair of goals in SJC's 2-0 road victory over St. Joseph's College (Brkln) on Wednesday afternoon. Ruiz, a driving force during the men's soccer team's current seven-game unbeaten streak, leads the Golden Eagles with 10 goals and 23 points this season.
