New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday evening, and amongst the winners were sophomore Christina Gagliardi (women's soccer) and senior Claire Urizzo (women's volleyball) who both appeared on the Weekly Honor Roll in their respective sports.
Christina Gagliardi (So.) – Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll
Gagliardi appears on the Weekly Honor Roll for the fifth time this season after scoring three goals in a 10-0 victory over Yeshiva University on Friday morning. With the trio of tallies, Gagliardi set a new program record with 18 goals in a single season and moves into second all-time in career points (60) and goals (26). As of Monday evening, the Ronkonkoma native ranked third in the conference and 15th in the nation in total goals this season.
Claire Urizzo (Sr.) – Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll
For the first in her three-year career, Urizzo is a Weekly Honor Roll selection after a week that saw her average 2.27 kills and 2.60 digs-per-set across four matches (SJC 3-1). In three of those matches—wins over Brooklyn and Mt. St. Vincent and a loss to Buena Vista—the Medford, NY native led the team in kills and registered her highest total (10) vs. Brooklyn. Before play on Tuesday, Urizzo ranked second on the team in kills (168), kills/set (2.30), digs (213) and digs/set (2.92).
