New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners were seniors Andrea Iavarone (women's basketball) and Tyler Jones (men's volleyball) who were name Skyline Conference Players of the Week for their respective sports.

Andrea Iavarone (Sr.) – Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Iavarone had a monster week, averaging 34.5 points and 26 rebounds-per-game. In an 83-69 victory over Farmingdale State on January 22, the forward shot 14-for-26, scored 37 points and grabbed a program-best 27 rebounds. On January 27, Iavarone went 11-for-14 from the field, 10-for-10 from the charity stripe, scored a game-best 32 points, grabbed a game-high 25 boards and was credited with six blocks in a thrilling 74-71 victory. As of Monday afternoon, Iavarone led the conference in scoring (19.6 PPG) and rebounding (15.7 RPG) and ranked fourth in the nation in rebounds-per-game.

Tyler Jones (Sr.) – Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

In a 3-0 sweep of Brooklyn College on January 25, Jones dished out a game-high 29 assists and was credited with five digs. SJC as a whole hit .439 in the match and improved to 3-1 on the year with the victory. Following action on Thursday, Jones ranked sixth in the nation and first in the conference in assists-per-set (10.00).
