Patchogue, NY| Meghan Brady '09, Tyler Eckhoff '09 and Joseph King '99 will be inducted into the St. Joseph's College L.I. Golden Eagles Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019 as the Hall's ninth class.

The three former student-athletes received enough votes to constitute a quorum at July's selection meeting and are set to become the Hall's 42nd, 43rd and 44th inductees next year during a ceremony celebrating its 10th anniversary.

"It's with great pleasure that we welcome Meghan, Tyler, and Joe as the ninth class of the Golden Eagle Hall of Fame," said Vice President for Athletics and Campus Services Shantey Hill.

"All three were outstanding student-athletes and have had long-lasting impacts on their respective sport programs. They've gone on to lead successful careers after graduation and are model examples of St. Joseph's College alumni."

Brady, a four-year member of the women's soccer team from 2005 to 2008, was the Skyline Conference's Player of the Year in 2008 and led the Golden Eagles to three regular-season championships (2005, 2006 and 2008). A two-time All-Conference selection, the midfielder was also a NSCAA/adidas New York Region Third-Team honoree in 2008.

Eckhoff captained the men's cross country program to its first-ever Skyline Conference title in 2008 and earned All-Conference accolades in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Eckhoff still holds two program course records to this day.

And King, a four-year starter at first base with the baseball team, was a double All-Conference honoree in 1996 and 1997, an NCAA Division III New York State All-Star and led the Golden Eagles to an ECAC Championship in 1997. The MVP of the '97 ECAC Tournament, King was also a two-time Golden Eagle Award winner and shares the program record for most hits in a single season (61).

The Hall of Fame was established in 2008 to honor former athletes, coaches and friends of St. Joseph's College. Those honored have contributed significantly to the athletics program and continue to exemplify the principles of sportsmanship and integrity through their contributions and achievements in their respective communities and professions. Individuals and entire teams are eligible for induction.

The hall of fame induction ceremony is held bi-annually in the fall. Members of the Hall of Fame will have their name and photo displayed on a plaque in the Golden Eagles Hall of Fame location on the Long Island Campus.

The induction of the Hall of Fame's ninth class is expected to take place in the spring of 2019. A specific date will be announced in the coming months.
