New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and amongst the winners were junior Amanda Post (WTEN) and sophomore Joseph Tantillo (Golf), who were named Skyline Players of the Week, and sophomore Cassidy Jacobus (WXC), who was named Skyline Rookie of the Week.

Additionally, sophomore Meagan Haviland (WXC), juniors Rayneri Ruiz (MSOC) and Christina Gagliardi (WSOC), and senior Danielle Senecal (WVB) appeared on Weekly Honor Rolls.

Amanda Post (Jr.) – Women's Tennis Player of the Week

In a 9-0 dismissal of St. Joseph's College (Brkln), Post picked up victories in singles and doubles play. After winning 8-0 with partner Nora Burnett at second doubles, the Miller Place, NY native defeated Denise Trerotola, 6-3, 6-4, at first singles.

Joseph Tantillo (So.) – Men's Golf Player of the Week

Tantillo posted a tri-match-best score of 73 at Bellport Country Club on October 5. The Golden Eagles defeated both SUNY Purchase and Yeshiva University by 68 and four strokes, respectively.

Cassidy Jacobus (So.) – Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week

Rookie of the Week for the second time in three weeks, Jacobus posted a 5k time of 20:21.0 at NJIT's Highlander XC Challenge on October 6 and helped the Golden Eagles earn a fourth-place finish in a competing field of 29 Division II and III schools.

Christina Gagliardi (Jr.) Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll

The junior posted five points on two goals and an assist for the Golden Eagles in a 1-1 week. She scored the first goal and assisted on the second in a 2-0 win over Old Westbury (Oct. 4) before knocking in her team-leading eighth goal in a 3-2 loss to Mt. St. Mary on (Oct. 6).

Meagan Haviland (So.) – Women's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll

Haviland took 10th place in field of 227 runners at the Highlander XC Challenge on October 6. The ECAC's Metro Runner of the Month for September clocked in with a time of 19:27.00 and powered SJC to a fourth-place finish.

Rayneri Ruiz (Jr.) – Men's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll

The forward tallied three goals and one assist for seven points in two games for the Golden Eagles last week. In a 1-1 tie at Old Westbury on October 2, Ruiz tallied the team's only goal, and in a 7-2 win over Sarah Lawrence at home on October 6 the Bay Shore, NY native scored twice and added a helper.

Danielle Senecal (Sr.) – Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

Led the Golden Eagles in a 2-2 week with 89 digs averaging 5.24 digs per set. The senior also provided 15 service aces, eight assists, and three kills. In a 3-0 sweep over the College of Staten Island, the libero claimed sole possession of the SJC all-time career digs record when she recorded her 1,073rd dig.
