New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and amongst the winners were junior Damian Duda (men's soccer) and senior Victoria Panicola (women's tennis) of St. Joseph's College (L.I.) who were named Players of the Week in their respective sports.

Additionally, senior Kristen Bohnenblusch (women's volleyball), junior Christina Gagliardi (women's soccer), Meagan Haviland (women's cross country) and senior Patrick Standard (men's golf) appeared on Weekly Honor Roll.

Damian Duda (Jr.) – Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Duda tallied two goals and added an assist in two games last week as the Golden Eagles posted a 2-0 record. In a 3-1 win over St. Joseph's College (Brkln) on October 10, the forward scored twice, including the winner, and in a 2-0 win at SUNY Purchase on October 13, Duda assisted on Rayneri Ruiz's game-winning tally in the second half. As of Monday afternoon, Duda was second on the team with 16 points.

Victoria Panicola (Sr.) – Women's Tennis Player of the Week

In a 3-0 week for the Golden Eagles, Panicola went undefeated in singles (3-0) and doubles (3-0) play. In wins over Farmingdale (Oct. 8), Sarah Lawrence (Oct. 12) and Mount St. Mary (Oct.13), Panicola picked up wins at first doubles with Taylor Hanscom. Against Sarah Lawrence, the Shirley, NY native won at first singles, and vs. Farmingdale and Mount St. Mary Panicola picked-up second-singles wins.

Kristen Bohnenblusch (Sr.) – Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

Bohnenblusch led the Golden Eagles with 44 kills and 14 service aces through six matches last week (SJC 5-1). Additionally, the Manorville, NY native was credited with 59 digs and boasted a hitting percentage of .265. In a 3-1 win at Farmingdale on October 11, Bohnenblusch matched a season-best with a game-high 13 kills and collected a season-high 16 digs.

Christina Gagliardi (Jr.) – Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll

In two matches last week (SJC 1-1-0), Gagliardi tallied four goals for eight points. In a 4-2 win at Sarah Lawrence on October 10, the forward recorded a hat trick, and in a 2-1 overtime loss to Farmingdale on October 13 Gagliardi scored SJC's only goal. As of Monday afternoon, Gagliaradi was tied for third in the conference with 12 goals this season.

Meagan Haviland (So.) – Women's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll

Haviland finished in ninth place in a field of 196 runners at the 19th Annual SJC Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park on Saturday afternoon. The Rocky Point, NY native's 5k time of 20:46.3 helped power the Golden Eagles to a third-place finish.

Patrick Standard (Sr.) – Men's Golf Weekly Honor Roll

At a Skyline Conference tri-match at Cherry Creek Links on October 12, Standard finished in second place with a score of 79 (+6) and trailed leader Patrick Shea (78) by just one stroke. SJC finished in second in a field of three competing schools.
