Gagliardi and Haviland Earn ECAC Player, Runner of the Month Honors

Danbury, CT| The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association (ECAC) released its monthly award winners on Wednesday afternoon and amongst the winners were St. Joseph's College (L.I.) senior Christina Gagliardi (women's soccer) and sophomore Meagan Haviland (women's cross country) who were named Metro Region Offensive Player of the Month and Runner of the Month, respectively.

Gagliardi led the Golden Eagles in the month of October with 29 points on 13 goals and three assists. In 10 games, the junior recorded three hat tricks, one of which came in a 4-0 win over the College of Mt. St. Vincent in the opening round of the Skyline Conference Championship.

The forward garnered Skyline Conference Player of the Week honors on Oct. 1 and Oct. 29, and appeared on the skyline Weekly Honor Roll on Oct. 8 and Oct. 15. The program's all-time goals and points leader, Gagliardi tallied 19 goals and 43 points in 2018 and was a Skyline All-Conference First-Team selection for the second-straight season.

Haviland is ECAC Runner of the Month for the second month in a row after appearing on the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll three times in the month of October.

The sophomore posted a 20:46.3 5k time and a ninth-place finish at the annual SJC Invitational on October 13 and went on to place seventh at the 2018 Skyline Conference Championships with a 6k time of 26:22.26. Haviland earned Skyline All-Conference First-Team recognition for the second time in as many years.
