59 SJC Student-Athletes Appear on Skyline Conference’s Fall 2018 Academic Honor Roll

New York, NY| A total of 59 St. Joseph's College (L.I.) student-athletes were named to the Skyline Conference's 2018 Fall Academic Honor Roll, as announced by Commissioner Linda Bruno on Thursday afternoon. Of the 11 member institutions, St. Joseph's was second in total honorees, trailing only Yeshiva University (75).

The Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who earned a 3.3-grade point average while competing in men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's golf, women's tennis and women's volleyball during the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year. In total, 463 student-athletes were honored throughout the conference.

All seven Skyline-sponsored SJC fall sports programs received selections, with men's soccer (15) garnering the most. Women's volleyball had 11 student-athletes recognized while women's cross country and women's soccer both placed nine honorees.

"The Skyline Conference student-athletes demonstrate strong dedication to their studies and their sports," said Bruno. "I am happy to recognize these bright young men and women, whose academic performance sets a great example and is in line with the NCAA Division III Philosophy Statement.
