Woodford Named Skyline Pitcher of the Week

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday morning and amongst the winners was junior Tim Woodford of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) baseball team, who was named Pitcher of the week for the second-straight week.

Additionally, sophomore Kassandra Tibbetts of the softball team appeared on the Weekly Honor Roll.

Tim Woodford (Jr.) - Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Woodford fanned six batters and allowed one earned run in an 8.0-inning outing at SUNY Purchase on Saturday afternoon. The hurler gave up just five hits as the Golden Eagles picked up a 3-1 win. Woodford, now 5-1 on the year, leads the Golden Eagles in innings pitched (44.0), ERA (1.02), and strikeouts and is conference Pitcher of the Week for the second-straight week.

Kassandra Tibbetts (So.) - Softball Weekly Honor Roll

Tibbetts hit .500 through four contests last week and drive in a team-high six runs.  In a 10-2 win over Mt. St. Vincent on April 15, the sophomore went 2-for-2 and scored twice, and in a 6-4 win over Staten Island on April 19 Tibbetts hit 2-for-3 including a three-run homer and drove in four runs.
