Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Kayla Flowers – St. Joseph’s-L.I.
Junior, Goalie, Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford HS

Flowers was tabbed the Most Valuable Player of the Rutgers-Newark Tournament as she posted a pair of shutout victories against NJCU (Sept. 7) and Rutgers-Newark (Sept. 8)...registered seven saves on Sept. 5 in a 2-2 tie versus William Paterson...compiled 12 saves on the week.

Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Heather Ferchland – St. Joseph’s-L.I.
Freshman, Middle Hitter, Selden, NY/Centereach HS

Ferchland averaged 3.38 kills with a .407 attack percentage over 13 sets as St. Joseph’s-L.I. won three of its four matches on the week…recorded a game-high 18 kills versus Sage and 13 against Yeshiva on Sept. 9…added 0.62 digs and 0.23 blocks per set.

Kirsten Ackerman – The Sage Colleges
Sophomore, Guilderland, NY/Guilderland HS

Ackerman repeats as Skyline Player of the Week after winning a pair of matches at No. 1 singles and posting a 2-0 mark at No. 2 doubles...earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory on Sept. 5 as Sage edged Hartwick, 5-4...notched a 6-0, 6-0 win on Sept. 9 in the Gators’ 8-1 victory over Yeshiva...improved to 4-0 in singles and 4-0 in doubles play for the year. 

Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Lauren Bendall – The Sage Colleges
Sophomore, Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy

Bendall earns her second Skyline Rookie of the Week citation in as many weeks after earning wins at No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles on Sept. 9 as Sage turned aside Yeshiva, 8-1...earned a hard-fought 6-4, 2-6, 10-4 win at fifth singles and teamed up for an 8-6 win at third doubles. 

Women's Soccer Rookies of the Week
Breanna Blair – Farmingdale State
Freshman, Goalie, Littleton, CO/High Point Regional HS

Blair registered 23 saves over two matches while yielding just one goal...made 10 saves on Sept. 8 in the Rams’ 1-0 win over Skidmore...notched 13 saves in a 1-0 (2OT) loss to Cal Lutheran on Sept. 9...has allowed just one goal in 282 minutes this season. 

Shanice Robe – Mount Saint Mary
Freshman, Forward, Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream Central HS

Robe tallied a hat trick on Sept. 5 in a 3-1 win over Rutgers-Newark and scored the lone goal of the match on Sept. 9 as MSMC edged King’s (PA) in double-overtime, 1-0...amassed 15 shots on the week and has scored all five of the Knights’ goals on the year. 

Men’s Cross Country Runner/Rookie of the Week
Cameron Coneys – Maritime
Freshman, Centerport, NY/Harborfields HS

Coneys captured the individual title at the five-mile Massachusetts Maritime Lt. Travis J. Fuller Invitational on Sept. 8 with a time of 28:04...finished 36 seconds ahead of his next closest competitor...the Privateers placed second out of 10 teams...named the Skyline Rookie of the Week for the second time.

Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week
Jackie Bellisari – Maritime
Junior, Albertson, NY/Holy Trinity HS

Bellisari placed first in a field of 66 runners on Sept. 8 at the Massachusetts Maritime Lt. Travis J. Fuller 5K Invitational with a time of 20:20...finished seven seconds ahead of the runner-up finisher...Maritime finished fourth in the eight-team field.

Nicole Zazzero – Mount Saint Mary
Junior, Brewster, NY/Brewster HS

Zazzero led MSMC at the Steven Warde Invitational at Cobleskill on Sept. 8 with a time of 20:06.82 on the 3.1-mile course...finished ninth overall as the Knights placed third in the 10-team field.  

Women’s Cross Country Rookies of the Week
Nicole Cunningham – Mount Saint Mary
Freshman, North Babylon, NY/St. John the Baptist HS

Cunningham finished 19th overall with a time of 20:55.08 at the 3.1-mile Steven Warde Invitational at
Cobleskill on Sept. 8...MSMC placed third out of 10 teams. 

Katherine Henri - Purchase
Freshman, Staten Island, NY/Notre Dame Academy

Henri claimed the individual crown at the Fifth Annual Purchase Invite on Sept. 8 with a time of 21:17.3the rainy 5K course...field consisted of 53 runners...Purchase placed third out of eight teams.

Women's Volleyball Player of the Week
Lauren Halverson – Mount Saint Mary
Senior, Setter, Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford HS

Halverson averaged 6.9 assists, 2.9 digs and 1.5 aces over 10 sets as MSMC posted wins over New Rochelle (3-0) and Ramapo (3-0) before falling to Kean (3-1)…amassed 26 assists, 10 digs and six aces versus Ramapo on Sept. 6.

Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Scott Jarosz – The Sage Colleges
Junior, Forward, Brunswick, ME/Brunswick HS

Jarosz tallied five goals on 12 shots over three contests as Sage earned wins over Bard (3-0), Cobleskill (4-1) and Yeshiva (6-0)…notched the game-winning goal versus Cobleskill…has now scored six goals on the season and 15 for his career.

Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Kevin Riveros - Purchase
Freshman, Forward, Port Chester, NY/Port Chester HS

Riveros scored a pair of goals on Sept. 7 as Purchase earned a 6-2 win over Bard in the Panthers’ lone match of the week…marked his first goals of the season.
