Corriss (Softball), Calabrese (Baseball) & Carroll (Lax) Win 4/6 Sklyline Weekly Awards

New York, N.Y. - Three Golden Eagles earned Skyline Conference Weekly awards in the latest report release for the week ending April 5.  Lindsey Corriss of softball and Anthony Bonilla of baseball both won Skyline Conference Player of the Week awards and Kristin Carroll of women’s lacrosse won the Rookie of the Week award.

Softball Player of the Week

Lindsey Corriss
Junior, OF, Sayville, NY/St. Anthony’s HS

Corriss collected 17 hits in 25 at-bats (.680) with 17 runs scored in a 5-2 week for the Golden Eagles…had a double, three triples and four RBI…compiled four three-hit performances and six multi-hit efforts…went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, a walk and three runs scored on Apr. 3 in a 17-5 win over Mount Saint Vincent.

Baseball Player of the Week

Joseph Calabrese
Junior, 3B, Westbury, NY/W.T. Clarke HS

Calabrese collected five hits in nine at-bats with six runs scored and eight RBI in a 3-1 week for the Golden Eagles…drove in four runs in a 12-2 win over Maritime on Apr. 1…homered in a 5-2 win over Maritime in game two…added two walks and two sacrifice flies…reached base three times via hit-by-pitch.

Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

Kristin Carroll
Freshman, Midfielder, Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford HS

Carroll scored four goals on five shots and added an assist on Apr. 2 as St. Joseph’s-L.I. notched a 19-4 win versus Mount Saint Vincent in its lone game of the week…added two ground balls, one caused turnover and one draw control.

W. Lacrosse Honor Roll

St. Joseph’s-L.I. senior attack Caitlynn Webber had two goals, three assists and six ground balls on Apr. 2 in the Golden Eagles’ 19-4 win over Mount Saint Vincent.
