Julianne Tierney – St.
Joseph's-L.I.
Junior, CF, Bethpage, NY/Bethpage HS
Tierney batted .556 (15-for-27) with 13 runs scored and 13 RBI as
SJC won six of its eight contests on the week…cracked seven
doubles and three home runs for a 1.148 slugging
percentage…added five walks…went 4-for-4 with three
RBI on Apr. 2 in an 8-3 win over NYU-Poly…went 5-for-6 with
six RBI in a pair of wins (15-0, 14-5) against Purchase on Apr.

Meagan Anderson – Farmingdale State
Sophomore, C, Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medoford HS
Anderson recorded three hits in all four of Rams' contests on the
week from her leadoff position in the batting order in a 3-1 week
for FSC…scored seven runs and added two triples and a
double…scored a pair of runs on Apr. 6 as FSC earned a 7-3
win versus St. Joseph's-L.I…stroked a double, a triple and
knocked in three in the Rams' 9-2 victory over Old Westbury on Apr.

Pitcher of the Week
Mackenzie Heizer – Mount Saint Vincent
Freshman, RHP, Vacaville, CA/Vacaville HS
Heizer posted a 3-1 record with a 0.47 earned run average over
29.2 innings pitched with 13 hits allowed and 51
strikeouts…allowed one run on five hits while fanning 10 on
Apr. 6 in the Dolphins' 2-1 (9) victory over Sage…struck out
14 in a 1-0 loss to Mount Saint Mary on Apr. 5…allowed an
unearned run on two hits on Apr. 2 with 16 strikeouts as CMSV
posted a 5-1 win versus York (NY).
Softball Rookie of the Week
Gabrielle Cinquemani – St.
Joseph's-L.I.
Freshman, INF, West Islip, NY/West Islip HS
Cinquemani batted .538 (7-for-13) on the week with three RBI and a
pair of runs scored…her RBI-single in the bottom of the
seventh on Apr. 6 lifted St. Joseph's-L.I. to a 7-6 win over
Farmingdale State…went 2-for-2 on Apr. 2 in the Golden
Eagles' 8-3 victory over NYU-Poly…collected three hits in
five at-bats in the doubleheader versus Farmingdale State on Apr.
6.
Baseball Player of the Week
Dan Diblasi – St. Joseph's-L.I.
Senior, OF/P, Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst HS
Diblasi batted .328 (7-for-22) and his two-run double on Apr. 5
lifted St. Joseph's-L.I. to a 6-2 win over Maritime…tossed
8.2 scoreless innings on Apr. 1 in the Golden Eagles' 2-0 victory
over William Paterson…allowed two runs and fanned four over
seven innings as SJC was edged by Purchase on Apr. 6,
2-1…went 2-for-4 on Apr. 6 in the Golden Eagles' 5-3 win
versus Purchase.
Pitcher of the Week
Trevor Cannella - Maritime
Senior, RHP, Sea Cliff, NY/North Shore HS
Cannella tossed a seven-inning no-hitter on Apr. 5 as Maritime
blanked St. Joseph's-L.I., 4-0…walked one and struck out two
to become the second Privateer to toss a no-hitter in a span of a
month…has not allowed a hit in his last 9.2 innings
pitched.
Baseball Rookie of the Week
Kevin Duffy – Mount Saint Mary
Freshman, RHP, Wallingford, CT/Sheehan HS
Duffy allowed one run on six hits in a complete-game outing on
Apr. 5 as Mount Saint Mary edged Farmingdale State,
3-1…fanned two and walked one for his first victory of the
season…struck out the side on Apr. 2 in the Knights' 2-0 win
over John Jay.
Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
Kimberlee Carr - Sage
Sophomore, Midfielder, Colonie, NY/Colonie Central HS
Carr amassed 13 goals on 18 shots and added seven caused turnovers
and five draw controls in a 1-1 week for the Gators…scored
four goals on Apr. 2 as Sage was edged by Purchase,
9-7…tallied nine goals – the second-highest
single-game total in program annals – on Apr. 5 in the
Gators' 19-12 win over Maritime…tabbed the Skyline Player of
the Week for the second time this season.
Jess Lindsay - Purchase
Senior, Goalie, Rochester, NY/Irondequoit HS
Lindsay compiled 25 saves and added six ground balls to lead
Purchase to wins over Sage (9-7) on Apr. 2 and Old Westbury (7-4)
on Apr. 5…notched 14 saves versus OW and 11 saves against
the Gators…ranked fifth nationally in save percentage
(.607).
Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week
Katie Gattoni – Mount Saint Mary
Freshman, Attack, Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley Regional
HS
Gattoni scored 12 goals on 15 shots and added a pair of assists in
a 2-1 week for the MSMC…tallied three goals on Apr. 1 in the
Knights' 14-2 victory over Maritime…registered a season-high
eight points – including six goals - in a 17-4 win versus
Ramapo on Apr. 3…added three goals on Apr. 5 in the Knights'
17-11 loss to Farmingdale State…chipped in five ground balls
on the week…named the Skyline Rookie of the Week for the
second time.
Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Steven Jemal – Yeshiva
Sophomore, West Long Branch, NJ/Hillel Yeshiva HS
Jemal went 3-0 at third singles and 3-0 at No. 1 doubles as
Yeshiva won two of its three matches on the week…posted a
6-4, 6-3 win in singles competition and an 8-6 decision in doubles
play on Apr. 6 in a 5-4 loss to Mount Saint Mary…notched a
6-3, 6-0 win on Apr. 3 in the Maccabees' 9-0 victory over St.
Joseph's-L.I…recorded a 6-3, 6-1 win on Apr. 1 as YU downed
CCNY, 9-0…tabbed the Skyline Player of the Week for the
second time in as many weeks.
Men's Tennis Rookies of the Week
Tyler Danzy – Farmingdale State
Freshman, Central Islip, NY/Central Islip HS
Danzy won all three of his matches at No. 1 singles as FSC earned
a pair of wins in league action…rallied for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3
decision on Apr. 5 in the Rams' 6-3 win versus
Purchase…earned a 6-1, 6-3 decision on Apr. 3 and added a
9-7 win at No. 1 doubles as FSC posted a 7-2 victory over
NYU-Poly…registered a 6-1, 6-0 victory on Apr. 2 as
Farmingdale State fell to MSMC, 7-2.
Gavin McNulty – Mount Saint Mary
Freshman, Darien, CT/Brother Rice HS
McNulty enjoyed a 3-0 record in both singles and doubles play as
Mount Saint Mary won all three of its matches on the
week…posted a 6-3, 6-4 decision at fifth singles and an 8-6
win at No. 2 doubles on Apr. 6 as MSMC edged Yeshiva,
5-4…earned a hard-fought 7-6, 4-6, 10-7 win at the No. 5
flight and added an 8-5 victory at second doubles as the Knights'
recorded a 7-2 victory over Farmingdale State on Apr.
2…notched a 6-2, 6-1 decision at No. 4 singles and an 8-0
win at No. 2 doubles on Apr. 1 as MSMC downed Rutgers-Newark,
7-2…earns his second Rookie of the Week citation.
