SJC Athletics Announces 2015 "Golden Eagles Spirit Days"
Patchogue, N.Y. – The St. Joseph’s College (SJC) Athletic Department announces the following “Golden Eagles Spirit Days”—mark your calendar for all these special days. These events are free and open to faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members.
"Veterans/Military Appreciation and Cub Scout Day"
Saturday, January 17, 2015 @ 1 p.m.
Come enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with the SJC Long Island Golden Eagles at the John A. Danzi Athletic Center to show appreciation for our Military and Veterans. Active or veteran military personnel of any branch of the United States Armed Forces and their families are encouraged to attend and will be recognized throughout the game. Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams will be in action against Sage College with the women starting at 1 p.m. followed by the men at 3 p.m. The SJC women’s swim team will also be in action against Mount Saint Mary College at 1 p.m. This date will also mark Cub Scout Day; the first 100 Cub Scouts in Class “A” Uniforms who enter will receive a free bottle of Nestle Nesquick Milk, a Nesquick Bunny keychain and a snack. Scouts arriving prior to game time, who wear their uniforms, will get to participate in the National Anthem, the team pregame lineup and can have their picture taken with the Golden Eagles Mascot Hot Wings.
"Welcome Back Student Night”

The SJC Long Island Athletic Department will kick off its Spring 2015 semester with an action-packed "Welcome Back Student Night.” All SJC students who attend and sit in the student section at the men’s basketball game, as they take on the Farmingdale State College Rams, will receive free giveaways and have the opportunity to win prizes including a 50-inch flat screen TV. Game time is 7 p.m. at the John A. Danzi Athletic Center.
"National Girls and Women in Sport and Girl Scout Day"

Join the SJC Long Island Lady Golden Eagles women's basketball team as they support a nationwide celebration recognizing the accomplishments of individuals in the promotion and advancement of girls and women in sports. Females arriving prior to game time wearing an athletic uniform will receive a free SJC athletics t-shirt and will be recognized during a special halftime ceremony. The Lady Golden Eagles take on Mount Saint Mary College at 1 p.m. in the John A. Danzi Athletic Center.
“Patchogue Appreciation Day"

Join the SJC Long Island Athletic Department as we give back to the town of Patchogue and the surrounding community. There will be tons of free giveaways, raffle prizes and games/activities for the kids. Baseball will kick-off our athletic events in a doubleheader vs. Farmingdale State at 12 p.m., while the women's lacrosse team takes on Sage College and the men’s tennis team faces Lehman College at 1 p.m. This event is free and open to the public at SJC’s Outdoor Field Complex located at 246 Sunrise Highway South Service Road in Patchogue, New York.
"Little League Day"

Calling all Little League All-Stars! Come join the SJC Long Island Golden Eagles for a fun-filled day at our state-of-the-art Outdoor Field Complex. The first 100 Little Leaguers to arrive in their athletic uniforms will receive an SJC water bottle and free drink. Those who arrive before game time will have the opportunity to line up on the field for the National Anthem at the beginning of the SJC vs. Mount Saint Mary College softball doubleheader. Game time is 1 p.m. at SJC’s Outdoor Field Complex located at 246 Sunrise Highway South Service Road in Patchogue, New York.
