Baseball Falls to Purchase in Skyline's to End Season

Old Westbury, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's College (17-20) baseball team ended its season by dropping a 10-2 game to the #2 seed Purchase Panthers (17-11) in the Skyline Conference Tournament.  The Golden Eagles, the #4 seed, had lost to top seed Old Westbury 4-1 on Friday evening, for their first loss of the double elimination format tournament at the Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex.

A seven-run third inning by Purchase spelled the end for the Eagles as they were never able to recover from the deficit.

Glenn Patriss (3-4) took the loss for SJC as he allowed eight runs (two earned) in 2.2 innings.  Chris Nast (6-1) came away with the victory for the Panthers as he went six innings and allowed two earned runs.
