Player of the Week

Eric Perez - Rowan University
Senior, Outfielder, Fords, N.J.

Perez helped the Profs claim the 2014 NJAC Baseball Championship trophy by hitting .583 (7-for-12) with two RBI, two doubles, and three runs scored during a 3-0 week of tournament play. He first went 1-for-2 with an RBI and one run scored during an 8-2 NJAC tournament victory over No. 3 ranked Kean. He then went a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI, a double, and drew one walk during an 8-3 NJAC tourna­ment victory over No. 1 seeded Rutgers-Camden. He wrapped up the week by going 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored during a 7-5 NJAC victory as the Profs took home the 2014 NJAC Baseball title for the second consecutive year. Perez currently ranks second in the NJAC in batting average this season (0.410).

Co-Pitchers of the Week

Dan Diblasi – St. Joseph's College (LI)
Junior, Westbury, NY

Diblasi tossed a nine inning complete-game shutout on May 2 as St. Joseph's College (LI). He also recorded a 3-0 win over SUNY Maritime in an elimination game for both teams in the opening round of the Skyline Championship. He scattered seven hits and fanned two. The victory marked his third win and third complete game of the season and lowered his earned run average to 2.38.

Mike Daley – Kean University
Junior, Somerville, NJ

Daley pitched a complete game shutout in the opening round of the 2014 NJAC Baseball tournament. He did not allow a single run in 9.0 innings pitched for the No. 3 ranked Cougars, while allowing seven hits and striking out three batters during the 5-0 NJAC tournament victory over Montclair. Daley currently ranks fifth in the NJAC in innings pitched this season (65.0).
