Baseball's Anthony Bonilla Honored as Skyline Player of the Week
New York, N.Y. - Golden Eagle Anthony Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y. / Farmingdale) garners the Skyline's Player of the Week award after strong performances over the past nine games. Bonilla led St. Joseph's College offense batting a sensational .419 on 13-for-31, scoring six runs and driving in three runs.
During Bonilla's batting fest, he registered hits in six of nine contests, including five multi-hit games with two three-hit performances, five doubles and a pair of triples to lead SJC with a .710 slugging percentage. Also, Bonilla ran the bases well, contributing two steals.
On defense, Bonilla had 11 putouts on equal chances for a perfect fielding percentage, while adding an outfield assist.
