Equestrian Struggles in Last Fall Show, Drops to 4th

Patchogue, N.Y. – In their final show of the season, the St. Joseph's Golden Eagles finished sixth overall at the North Shore Equestrian Center show hosted by LIU Post. Sunday's poor showing enabled NYU to leapfrog St. Joseph's in the overall standings. The Eagles finish the fall season in fourth place. LIU Post and Stony Brook University finished first and second, respectively.

Despite the finish, the Eagles had several outstanding performers on Sunday. Brittany Hoffman (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue/Medford) finished first in the Novice Flat and Melissa Mausser (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East) took first in the Novice Fence. Rachel Russak (Huntington/Smithtown Christian) and Alyssa Hauser (Shoreham, N.Y./Wading River) came in second in the Walk Trot Canter. Leah Uliano (Miller Place, N.Y./Miller Place) finished second in the Novice Fence. Congratulations to Brittany Hoffman for classing up to Intermediate Flat.
