Third Place Finish for Equestrian at Stony Brook Show
Selden, N.Y. — The Golden Eagles placed third on Sunday in their horse show hosted by Stony Brook University at Olde Towne Equestrian Center in Selden. Bested only by Stony Brook University and New York University, respectively, SJC continues to prove that they can compete with elite competition, finishing with a total of 19 points.
Lexi Metz (Manorville, N.Y./ Eastport-South Manor) came in first place for the Walk, Trot, Canter while Erin DeNicola (North Bellmore, N.Y./ Mepham) and Heidi Rohr (Yaphank, N.Y./ Longwood) each snagged a second place honor for the same event. Kimberly McKeon (Blue Point, N.Y./ Bayport-Blue Point) came in second place for Novice Flat.
The Golden Eagles will compete in their fourth show of the season on Sunday. The show, hosted by Hofstra University, will take place at Country Farms in Medford and will begin at 8 a.m.
