Knight Fall's Early for Men's Team on Road

Newburgh, N.Y.—The St. Joseph's Golden Eagles (5-12, 3-7 SKY) suffered a tough Skyline Conference loss on the road to the Mount Saint Mary Knights (11-6, 8-3 SKY) Thursday night, 102-45.

SJC held their own for the first five minutes of the game; Jordan Kowalski's made jump shot at 14:34 brought the game within one point at 11-10, but that was the closest the Golden Eagles got to the Knights.  Mount Saint Mary's 13 unanswered points in the last seven minutes of the first half solidified their lead and knocked the wind out of St. Joseph's, who would spend the remainder of the game playing catch-up.

Despite SJC's continuous efforts on both ends of the court, the Knight's offensive prowess was too much for the Eagles whose shots simply weren't falling in Newburgh.

Kevin Donovan's (East Northport, N.Y./ Northport) 11 points were a team-high while Cody Lohsen (Centereach, N.Y./ Centereach) contributed seven points and seven rebounds.  The team shot 25.8% from the field, 14.3% from behind the three-point line and 70% from the foul line.

The Golden Eagles will travel to the Bronx on Saturday for a 2 p.m. Skyline game against Maritime College.
