Basile Lands on Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners was junior Frank Basile of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's basketball team who appeared on the Weekly Honor Roll.

Basile averaged 25.5 points- and 11.5 rebounds-per-game through two contests as SJC posted a 2-0 record. In a 66-63 win over Skyline Conference foe SUNY Maritime, the guard went for 16 points, three assists and a game-best 13 rebounds.

On November 25, Basile powered the Golden Eagles to an 88-85 come-from-behind overtime victory at Connecticut College when he posted his second-straight double-double with a career- and game-best 35 points (14-for-28 FG) and a game-high 10 rebounds.

As of Monday afternoon, Basile led the Golden Eagles in rebounding (10.5 RPG) and was second in the conference. Additionally, the Islip, NY native was second on the team and seventh in the conference in scoring (18.3) and his 1.3 steals-per-game were a team-best.

Basile and the Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, November 27 when they visit Sarah Lawrence College for a Skyline Conference showdown at 6:00 pm.
