Men’s Basketball Drops Skyline Contest to Farmingdale

Farmingdale, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's basketball scored three in double figures but dropped a Skyline Conference contest to Farmingdale State, 86-73, on Saturday afternoon.

The loss sends the Golden Eagles to 3-5 overall on the year and 1-2 in Skyline play as the Rams move to 3-5 and 1-1.

SJC's offense was powered by Alec Tabada (8-for-14 FG) and Spencer Malloy (7-for-16 FG), who each scored 17 points in the contest. Tabada pulled down a team-best 10 rebounds to register the first double-double of his collegiate career.

Jake Gaudiello shot 4-for-9 from the field, scored 12 points, and dished out a team-high six assists. 

Kevin O'Halloran came off the bench and shot 3-for-5 scoring eight points. 

Farmingdale's Dominique Senat posted game-high numbers for points (20) and rebounds (14).

The Rams shot 61.2% from the field and limited SJC to a 40.3% shooting percentage. St. Joseph's held edges in points in the paint (42-36) and bench scoring (22-14).

The contest featured two ties and only one lead change. SJC trailed 42-33 at the half before losing by a 13-point margain. 

The Golden Eagles return to action on Wednesday, December 8, when they host John Jay for a non-conference contest inside the Danzi Center at 7:00 pm.
