Golf in Third Slot on Skyline Coaches Preseason Poll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – St. Joseph's men's golf team has been predicted to finish third this season in the 2012 Skyline Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.  Farmingdale State was  selected as the favorite to win its fifth consecutive Skyline golf championship in voting conducted by the league's seven head coaches. 

The Rams earned six first-place votes and amassed 36 points, while 2011 runner-up The Sage Colleges received one first-place vote and 31 overall points.  St. Joseph's-L.I. placed third with 25 points, followed by Purchase (21), NYU-Poly (13) and Old Westbury (13), and Yeshiva (8). 

The 2012 Skyline Golf Championship will be held Oct. 21-22 at the Bethpage State Park Red Course in Farmingdale, N.Y.
