Patchogue, NY| Senior Brian O'Sullivan scored twice as the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's soccer team shutout St. Joseph's College (Brkln), 3-0, at Danzi Stadium on Friday evening.

With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 4-7 on the year and 4-2 in Skyline play as the Bears slide to 5-7 (3-3 Skyline).

Senior Justin Heredia opened the scoring in the 13th minute when he took a through ball from Michael O'Shea and slotted a ball past the Brooklyn keeper from a 1-v-1 position. O'Sullivan would double the Golden Eagles' lead in the 35th minute when he curved a corner attempt in for his third goal of the season.

O'Sullivan would cap off the scoring in the 64th minute when he pounced on a loose ball just outside the 18-yard box for his second tally of the evening.

The Golden Eagles would outshoot the Bears 18-10 and keeper Avery Gomez was forced to make just five saves.

Heredia and freshman Rayneri Ruiz led all Long Island players with four shots on goal.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday, October 9 when they host Washington Adventist for a 2:00 PM match. Live stats will be available here at sjcgoldeneagles.com.
