Golden Eagles Outduel CCNY

New York, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's Golden Eagles (2-1) men's tennis team dropped just one singles and one doubles match to the CCNY Beavers (1-3) in their 7-2 victory on Thursday night.

Adam Friel got the Eagles their first victory of the day with a two-set win. Both sets finished 6-2. Tom O'Keefe shutout his opponent with two 6-0 victories. Chris Corrao, Stephen Fox, and Alexander Fisher all won their singles matches in convincing fashion. SJC won five of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches.

In doubles, Brandon Abbatiello and O'Keefe won their match 8-4, while Denzil Charles and Fox were nearly perfect for the Eagles with an 8-1 victory.

The Golden Eagles take on Yeshiva on the road this Thursday night.
