Men’s Tennis Sweeps York for First Win of the Season

Jamaica, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team earned a convincing 9-0 victory over York College on the road on Wednesday evening to record its first win of the season. The result sees the Golden Eagles improve to 1-4 on the year as the Cardinals fall to 0-12.

SJC dominated the doubles competitions, winning all three match-ups by 8-0 score lines.

Kevin Lankowicz fought off Vimal Ramnarain, 6-4, 6-3, at first singles, while Peter Rasmussen and Matt Dioguardo earned 6-1, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-2 wins at #2 and #4 singles, respectively.

Kyle Conway and Cody Puglisi picked up 6-0, 6-0 sweeps at #5 and #6 singles.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 22 when they visit St. Joseph's College (Brkln) in a Skyline Conference showdown at 1:00 pm.
