Yeshiva Tops Men’s Tennis, 8-1

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference contest at the SJC Outdoor Field Complex on Sunday afternoon.

The loss sends the Golden Eagles to 3-7 overall and 0-5 in Skyline Conference action as the Maccabees improve to 11-7 (6-0 Skyline).

Yeshiva dropped just two games in the three doubles matches and headed to the singles matches up 3-0.

After dropping first through fifth singles, freshman Vinny Spano salvaged a point for SJC when he won his sixth singles match 7-6, 6-7 (10-3).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, April 16 when they visit St. Joseph's College (Brkln) for a Skyline Conference contest at 7:30 pm.
