Wersan Competes for Eagles at ECAC Championships

Boston, Mass. - Brian Wersan competed at the ECAC Championship meet this weekend at the Reggie Lewis Athletic Center representing St. Joseph's College and finished in 12^th place in the 800m. 

Wesran led his heat at the gun but by the first lap had fallen to fourth place. Unflustered, Wersan measured his competitors and with one lap to go shifted gears.  By the last straight away had taken over first place with a school record time of 1:56.62 and an overall placing of 12 out of a field of 36.

The ECAC meet officially concludes the indoor season for the Eagles. The outdoor competitive season will begin with the hosting of the Golden Eagle Invitational on March 29 at the SJC Outdoor Field Complex.
