Men's Outdoor Track Team Readies for Penn Relays

Patchogue, N.Y.- The St. Joseph's College men's track & field team are set to take part in the prestigious Penn Relay Carnival at the University of Pennsylvania's historic Franklin Field.

The Penn Relays begin Thursday, April 26 and run through Saturday, April 28.

Over the three-day meet more than 425 races will be run featuring 22,000 athletes from 60 different countries.

The following athletes will represent SJC on Friday in the 1600-meter relay scheduled to go off at 4:40 p.m.:

Senior, Michael Hartman (Shirley, N.Y./William Floyd)

Junior, Jonathan Afanador (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford)

Freshman, Robert Johnson (Mastic Beach, N.Y./Williams Floyd)

Freshman, Kevin Sanders (Wading River, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River)
