Men’s 4x400 Team Breaks SJC Record at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, PA.- The St. Joseph's College men's track & field team competed in the College Men's 4x400 Heats relay race at Penn Relays for the first time in program history.

The Golden Eagles foursome of Jonathan Afanador (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford), Kevin Sanders (Wading River, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River), Michael Hartman (Shirley, N.Y./William Floyd) and Robert Johnson (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) clocked 3:36.95 to break the previous school record. The relay team beat a few Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) foes from Division II (St. Thomas Aquina's and Philadelphia University) and Division III (Farmingdale and Lehman).

The rest of the Golden Eagles will compete on Saturday, April 28 at the Lion's Invitational hosted by TCNJ.
