Mario Mayen Set to Run at 2013 ECAC Championships

Patchogue, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's College men's outdoor track & field team member Mario Mayen (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) is set to compete at the 2013 ECAC Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships.  This freshman will be the lone Golden Eagle to represent St. Joseph's College in the 400m.

Mayen enters the meet boasting a fourth place finish at the NJAC Championships with a career best of 49.08 in the 400m. He is the first true freshman in program history to qualify for the outdoor championships.

The ECAC Championships are set for Thursday-Friday, May 16-17 at Springfield College's Blake Track and Field in Springfield, Mass. The 400-meter dash is scheduled to go off Friday, May 17 at 1:15 p.m.
