Curaro Named Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week, Biggers lands on Weekly Honor Roll

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners were men's volleyball team freshmen Paul Curaro and Kyle Biggers who earned Rookie of the Week and Weekly Honor Roll recognition, respectively.

Paul Curaro (Fr.) – Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week

In a 1-1 week for the Golden Eagles Curaro amassed 34 total kills including a season-best 20-kill performance in a four-set loss to #15 Nazareth on Saturday morning. Later that afternoon, the Holbrook, NY native collected 14 kills and six digs in a 3-0 sweep of Brooklyn. As of Tuesday morning Curaro leads SJC was 113 kills on the year and sits in fifth in the conference in kills/set (3.41).

Kyle Biggers (Fr.) – Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

For the second-straight week Biggers lands on the Weekly Honor Roll after a strong showing. The highlight of the week for the Holbrook, NY native was a season-best 18 kills (.773 attacking percentage) in a 3-0 sweep of Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon. Currently second on the team with 92 kills, Biggers ranks third in the conference in attacking percentage (.371).
