Union, NJ| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team saw its eight-game winning streak snapped on Sunday afternoon after suffering 3-2 and 3-1 losses to Skyline Conference rivals Ramapo College and Kean University, respectively, in Union, NJ.

With the losses the Golden Eagles fall to 14-9 on the year and 3-2 in conference play as the Roadrunners improve to 15-9 (4-1 Skyline) and the Cougars to 16-8 (4-0).

After taking 25-22 and 25-17 in the firs two sets, SJC ground out 25-20 and 25-16 victories in the third and fourth sets to force a deciding fifth set.

Freshman Paul Curaro led SJC in kills (13) and collected five digs in the contest. Will Flohr (10 kills), Matthew Amberge (9 kills) and Kyle Biggers (8 kills) all contributed to a St. Joseph's attack that generated 49 kills.

Tied at 21 in the first frame, the Golden Eagles tallied the final four points of the set to earn the 25-21 win but failed to capitalize on the momentum and dropped the next three sets, 25-15, 25-22 and 25-18.

Curaro (15 kills) and Flohr (10 kills) again led the SJC attack but were outhit by Kean's Jacob Kauffman (21 kills).
