Men's Volleyball Tabbed to Finish 2nd in Skyline Preseason Poll

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team finished second in the Skyline Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll, which was released on the conference website on Wednesday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles earned three first-place votes and 20 total points and finished behind 2017 conference runner-up College of Mount St. Vincent. The Dolphins also earned three first-place votes but edged SJC with 21 total points.

Rounding out the field was SUNY Purchase (18 points) in third, Yeshiva University (11 points) in fourth, and, tied for fifth place with 10 points, Sarah Lawrence College and St. Joseph's College (Brkln).

SJC opened its 2018 season on Friday, January 19 with a 3-2 victory over #14 Mount St. Joseph. On Saturday, January 20, the Golden Eagles took a defeat to #11 Kean University but defeated Arcadia University, 3-1, to ensure they started the season with a 2-1 mark.

St. Joseph's hosts Brooklyn College for its home opener on Thursday, January 25 at 7:00 pm.
