Amberge Tabbed Skyline Player of the Week

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners was sophomore Matthew Amberge, who earned Player of the Week honors for men's volleyball.

In two games last week, Amberge hit .300 and put down 3.25 kills-per-set. In a 3-1 loss to SUNY New Paltz on February 24, the opposite sider hitter recorded 11 kills, eight kills and three blocks. Later in the afternoon, in a 3-1 win over Emmanuel, the Bellmore, NY native hit .303 and went for a game-high 15 kills and a career-high 16 digs.

As of Monday morning, Amberge ranked second on the team in total kills (123), kills-per-set (2.56), total points (142.5) and points-per-set (3.0).

A Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week on April 3 of 2017, Amberge claims Player of the Week honors for the second time this season and in his career.
