Men's Volleyball Shuts Out Bears, 3-0

Brooklyn, NY| The Golden Eagles took down the Bears of St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) in a 3-0 sweep Tuesday evening. SJC-LI improves to 16-7 on the season with a perfect 5-0 record in conference play. The Bears slide to 0-13, 0-5 Skyline.

The Golden Eagles hit a match-best .471 in the 25-10 win in set one before cruising to wins in sets two and three 25-12, 25-11, respectively.

Sophomore Kyle Biggers knocked down and match-high 10 kills hitting at a .533 clip. Sophomore Will Flohr finished with nine kills with sophomore Davis Slager pitching in with eight kills. Senior Michael Barfield tossed up 22 assists with Flohr and senior Alec Smalley collecting eight digs each.

The Bears were led by Tim Driscoll with seven kills. Setter Alec Wells recorded 10 assists with Sean Salomons finishing with six digs.

The Golden Eagles continue Skyline Conference play when they host Mt. St. Vincent Thursday, March 22 at 7:00 pm.
