Patchogue, NY| All 15 players saw action in the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team's 3-0 sweep of Lehman College inside the Danzi Center on Tuesday evening.
With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 4-1 overall on the year as the Lightning remain winless and slip to 0-3.
SJC hit 33.9% as a team and was led by junior Paul Curaro, who hit 71.4% and put down a game-high six kills.
Juniors Kyle Biggers and David Slager contributed five kills apiece, and the latter was also credited with a game-high five service aces.
Liberos Michael Bosco and Danny McNamara collected a team-high four digs each.
St. Joseph's stormed to 25-5 victories in the first two sets to take a 2-0 match lead. Early in the third, the hosts fell behind 4-1, but an 8-0 run saw them go up 9-4 en route to a match-ending 25-15 win in the third.
SJC held Lehman to only five kills in the match. The Lightning hit -.276 overall and was credited with just 11 digs. St. Joseph's served up a total of 14 service aces.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, February 5 when they visit John Jay College for a non-conference contest at 7:00 pm.
