Biggers and Curaro Earn All-ECAC Honors

Danbury, CT| Juniors Kyle Biggers and Paul Curaro of the St. Joseph's College baseball (L.I.) men's volleyball team garnered All-ECAC Second-Team honors when the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference released its end-of-season men's volleyball awards on Wednesday.

Both Biggers and Curaro were two of four Golden Eagles to land on the Skyline All-Conference First-Team back on April 15. Additionally, Biggers was named Skyline Conference Player of the Year for the second-straight season. 

Biggers led the conference in hitting percentage (.388) and put down 1.89 kills-per-set in 2019. The 2017 national hitting percentage champion ranked 13th in the nation in the category in 2019 and was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week three times this season.

Curaro led the Skyline in total kills (288) and kills-per-set (3.10) for the second-straight year and was conference Player of the Week three times. The outside hitter also finished second in the conference in hitting percentage (.237) and third in service-aces-per-set (.61). 

After claiming their second-straight Skyline Conference title, the Golden Eagles drew #8 Endicott College in the first round of the NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship. SJC was defeated 3-1 and finished the season with a 25-7 overall record. The Golden Eagles have won 24-straight Skyline Conference contests and posted consecutive 10-0 regular-season conference marks.
