Skyline Release

New York, NY| The two-time defending conference champion St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team finished first in the Skyline Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, which was released on the conference website on Friday morning.

SJC received maximum total points (49) and all seven possible first-place votes in the poll. Newcomers to the conference, Ramapo and New Jersey City, garnered 42 and 35 points, respectively, and finished second and third. Ramapo received one first-place vote.

The Golden Eagles have not dropped a Skyline Conference contest since their inaugural 2017 season and have posted consecutive 10-0 regular-season Skyline records the past two seasons.

In 2018, SJC topped the College of Mount St. Vincent in the conference championship game and last year swept SUNY Purchase in the final to repeat as Skyline champions.

SJC opens its 2020 campaign at Misericordia on January 17 and returns home for its home-opener vs. Kean on January 24 at 7:00 pm.
