The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's volleyball team opened up Skyline Conference play with a pair of sweeps over New Jersey City University and Yeshiva University on Sunday afternoon.
Vs New Jersey City

Senior Tyler Anderson led the Golden Eagles with 10 kills and eight digs and three blocks

The Golden Eagles were first to reach the 20-point mark in set one, but a 4-0 run by the Gothic Knights evened the score at 23

The two sides exchanged points down the stretch before a kill from Johnson ended the set 32-30

Set two saw the Golden Eagles finish hitting .500, their best of the match, en route to a 25-13 win
