Ryan Haun Selected as ECAC Metro Region D-III Rookie of the Week

Danbury, CT| On Wednesday afternoon, Ryan Haun of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's cross country team was named ECAC Metro Region Division III Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 20, as announced by the ECAC.

Haun turned in a 10th place finish out of a field of 101 at the LIU Post Invitational on Saturday, clocking in with a 27:53.68 8k time. The Bayport, NY native was the highest placing Division III competitor in a race that also featured Division II and junior college runners.

A three-time winner of the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week award—most recently as Monday—Haun's ECAC recognition is the first regional honor the freshman has received in his career.
