Holownia, Phan and Haviland Recognized in Inaugural Track and Field Weekly Awards

Outdoor Track and Field Report

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its inaugural outdoor track and field awards on Tuesday morning, and amongst the winners was junior Jennifer Holownia, who earned the Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors. Additionally, freshmen Brandon Phan and Meagan Haviland were named Men's and Women's Rookie of the Week, respectively.

Jennifer Holownia (Jr.) – Women's Track Athlete of the Week

In the SJC's opening meet of the outdoor season, Holownia placed 14th out of 47 runners in the 200-meter dash at the TCNJ Invitational with a time of 27.72. Additionally, the junior turned in a 4.50-meter long jump.

Brandon Phan (Fr.) – Men's Rookie of the Week

In his first career outdoor competition, Phan placed fourth out of 14 in the triple jump with a distance of 12.72-meters. The Ronkonkoma, NY native also turned in a 5.91-meter long jump good for 12th place out of 24.

Meagan Haviland (Fr.) – Women's Rookie of the Week

Haviland opened the outdoor season with a 12th place finish in the 1,500-meter race with a time of 5:16.59 at the TCNJ Invitational.
