Outdoor Track and Field Races at Coach 'O' Invitational

Kings Point, NY| The St. Joseph's College outdoor track and field competed in the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational hosted by the United State Merchant Marine Academy Sunday afternoon.

Senior Erin Mac Donnell took home a first-place finish in the women's 1500-meter race with a time of 5:04.06 with teammates Meagan Haviland and Karli Murphy coming in just behind her finishing in second and fourth, respectively.

Ryan Haun placed first in the men's 1500-meter race with a time of 4:15.95. Nick DeLuca came in sixth with a time of 4:47.67.

David Maitre and Daniel Antonawich finished first braking a school record with a time of 16.28 and second (17.32) in the men's 110-meter hurdles. The pair also raced in the 400-meter hurdles this time with Antonowich finished first with a new school record of 59.25 and Maitre came in fifth (1:02.87).

Jennifer Holownia took home second place in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.79 and turned in a time of 27.58 to come in third with Briana Shand finishing fourth at 27.61.

Brandon Linbrunner won the men's 100-meter dash with a time of 11.59 and came in first in the 200-meter race with a new SJC record of 22.81. Brandon Phan was just behind him in second with a time of 23.22. In the women's 100-meter race Shand came in fourth with a time of 12.76.

Five Golden Eagles compete in the women's 800-meter race with Haviland and MacDonell coming in second (2:34.60) and third (2:35.96), respectively. Murphy placed sixth (2:38.42), Stephanie Surrusco came in ninth (2:57.70) and Victoria Quinones finished 14th (3:17.25). The men's 800 saw Thomas Newman finished second (2:00.34), Anthony Figorito came in sixth (2:06.81) and Jeremy Anderson placed seventh (2:06.86).

Both the men and women's 4x400 relay teams took home first place. Holownia, Gabrielle Mason, Shand, and Haviland finished with a time of 4:32.23 and Newham, Anderson, Ruiz, and Haun came in at 3:41.81.

On the field, Holownia placed fifth (4.59m) out of 15 in the women's long jump with Phan coming in third for the men at 5.9m. Maitre came in second with a high jump of 1.64m and Joseph Wetzel finished eighth with a 10.35 shot put.

The Golden Eagles return to action at the Penn Relays on Thursday, April 26.
