Phan and Holownia Pick Up ECAC Weekly Awards

Danbury, CT| The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its Division III track and field weekly award winners on Wednesday afternoon and amongst the winners were junior Jennifer Holownia and freshman Brandon Phan of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) track and field team who earned Female Track Athlete of the Week and Male Rookie of the Week accolades, respectively. 

Jennifer Holownia (Jr.) - Female Track Athlete of the Week

Competing at the inaugural Skyline Conference Track and Field Championships on Sunday, Holownia placed first in the 400m hurdles with an ECAC qualifying time of 1:10.25. The Miller Place, NY native also took second in the long jump (4.75m) and the 4x400m relay (4:30.59). Holownia was the ECAC's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week back on January 11.

Brandon Phan (Fr.) - Male Rookie of the Week

Also participating at Sunday's Skyline Conference Championships, Phan took first in the long jump event with a 6.19 jump. The Ronkonkoma, NY native went on to finish second in the triple jump--with an ECAC qualifying time of 12.67--the 4x100 relay (43.84) and the 4x400 relay (3:28.57). Phan was the Skyline Conference's Rookie of the Week back on April 10.
