Holownia and Phan Earn NJAC Weekly Honors

Pitman, NJ| The New Jersey Athletic Conference released its weekly winners and amongst them were senior Jennifer Holownia and sophomore Brandon Phan of the St. Joseph's College track and field team.

Holownia was named Women's Track Athlete of the Week after turning in a seventh place in the 400-meters with a new SJC record time of 1:01.61. That time is also the seventh-fastest in the NJAC this year. The senior was also part of the 4 X 400 relay team that finished with a time of 4:34.60.

Phan picked up Field Athlete of the Week on the men's side after he placed sixth with a 12.71-meter leap in the triple jump. The sophomore posted an 11th place finish in the long jump with a 6.24-meter mark, which is the seventh-longest in the NJAC so far this year.

The Golden Eagles return to competition on Saturday, January 12 at the Ramapo Season Opener in New York, NY.
