Track Participates in Ramapo Season Opener

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed in the 2019 Ramapo College Season Opener at the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory on Friday afternoon.

Highlights of the meet included senior Jennifer Holownia's third-place finish in the 400-meter dash. Her time of 1:01.32 set a new program record.

Additionally, sophomore Meagan Haviland took first place in the 1,000 meter run with a time of 3:16.88, which qualified her for the 2019 ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Junior Jennifer O'Connor placed fourth in the 500-meter dash (1:37.76) and sophomore Marlee Lopez took fifth in the 800-meter run (2:38.09).

On the men's side, senior Brandon Linbrunner finished fifth in the 200-meter dash (23.58) and sophomore Brandon Phan took sixth in the long jump (5.97m).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, February 9 when they participate in the Giegengack Invitational at Coxe Cage in New Haven, CT.
